I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

But my mom-in-law wouldn't be too happy with that! Not that she's against snow, just not happy about the idea of freezing her toes off while they're visiting us from sunny South Africa.

Snow or no snow, I love Christmas. And I certainly love spreading festive cheer, especially if I can spread it with baked yumminess!

I've made my first official Mandy Bakes video for you to enjoy. Learn how to pipe cute frosting Christmas trees by following this link

And if you want a cupcake to go with that? Why not try these moist and deliciously spiced orange drizzle cupcakes.

Classic or Contemporary Christmas

Do you enjoy a trendy or traditional Christmas?

Either way, here are some Christmas Mini Cakes that you'd enjoy either way.

For the Trendy, we have moist Devil's Food chocolate cake sandwiched with luxurious ganache. All smothered in fondant flavoured with strawberry, blackberry or raspberry, then neatly put together with cute home made sparkly bows and labels.

For the Traditional, rich fruitcake crammed full of currants, raisins, brandy soaked cherries and nuts. A layer of marzipan in between then covered in festively coloured fondant flavoured with orange, lemon or almond. Also topped with hand made ribbons and labels made with sugarpaste.

Merry Christmas! I hope you have a fantastic festive season :)

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

To me, Christmas is about receiving the greatest gift the world will ever know, and because of that gift, we have so much to celebrate. We can enjoy good times with our friends and family around us, putting aside any fights or annoyances that we may have had with any of the ones close to us through the past year. Remember all the good things about them and why we're blessed to have them in our lives.

Whatever Christmas means to you, I wish you a joy-filled festive season full of love and good memories in the making, and a wonderful 2010.

And enjoy these lovely little festive macarons too!

Gingerbread: Spiced with gingerbread spices, filled with a ginger spiced buttercream and a little surprise in the middle, a small peice of crystallised ginger

Mulled Spice: Lovely mulled spiced shells filled with a tasty brandy buttercream

Candy Cane: Bright red & white macarons filled with peppermint buttercream
